Sitting Scarecrow

The Sitting Scarecrow is an animatronic sold by Spirit Halloween since the 2016 Halloween season. It resembles a scarecrow in a sitting position, wearing a blue-gray long-sleeve shirt holding a candy bowl. When activated, the head pops up, as a scream can be heard.

"This resting scarecrow seems to be sleeping, but when someone reaches for the candy in his lap, his head pops up and he makes scary sounds! Perfect for scaring trick-or-treaters or any of your guests!"

Trivia[]

As of 2019, the animatronic became a wholesale item, and is now being sold on several websites.
- Some wholesale models include a cardboard chair for the animatronic, similar to Rusty.
Underneath the burlap head is a reused head sculpt from Resurrection Mary, but unpainted. Similar to the Toe Tagged Corpse reusing the same head sculpt as the Zombie Clown.
In 2019, this animatronic's code/item number name was "ANIMT 3".
- In 2020, the number was "ANIM 326".
- In 2022, the number was "AN009108".
In 2019, this animatronic's website photo was altered; the scarecrow's shirt now appears gray in the photo rather than the blue it was formerly. It is unknown why this is exactly, as there is no discernable difference in the clothes between the pre-2019 and post-2019 versions.
A Try Me Button (2010) would've been placed in this animatronic's and Sitting Scare Clown's bowls but wouldn't be plugged in to the animatronics. The reasoning for this was to have them activate by sensor to scare customers. The majority of the stores did this but not all of them. From 2018-2019 the updated model of the button was used.
The cackle used when the Sitting Scarecrow lowers his head was reused for the Sitting Scare Clown.
An inflatable was made of the animatronic in 2023.
A new version called Scary Sitting Scarecrow was introduced in 2023.
